My Little Red Dress

Every doll needs a new dress, right? This basic little number can be made as the pattern is written or easily modified to change the look. It's a great stash buster, too, using about 1.5 ounces of a lighter weight worsted yarn. The pattern was written for the 18-inch Creatology dolls (from Michael's) but needs easy modifications to fit the 18-inch American Girl or 19-inch Gotz Hannah dolls. Suggestions are included in the pattern. There's a scalloped sleeve edge and hem variation as well as instructions for making the cute yellow top with the double ruffled edge shown in the photos. Make a little doll mommy happy and crochet her doll a half dozen dresses in different colors. 6/9/2017: The pattern has been updated to include instructions for 13" & 14" dolls such as American Girl WellieWishers, Les Cheries and Hearts for Hearts. It will also fit the NEW Gotz Little Kidz dolls with a few minor size changes. 6/16/2017: The pattern has been updated to also include instructions for American Girl 6" Mini Dolls, My Life 7" Dolls as well as 8" and 8.5" dolls. Although the pattern is long - 14 pages - it is broken into three sections according to doll size and each section has a complete pattern.
