Pi Beanie

I designed the Pi Beanie pattern to give as a gift to my boyfriend. This seamless beanie is knitted in one piece from the bottom up and features T8F cables modified to create a continuous, spiralling infinity look. **SIZE GUIDE** Child (S) M (L) Finished measurements: head circumference 38 (42), 46 (50) cm. With a recommended negative ease of 15 cm. For example: if your head circumference measures 56 cm, the closest size with the recommended negative ease is size S (the second one). You can also choose from two different lengths for your beanie: Above-the-ear length (shorter than a normal beanie) about 14 (18) 18 (19) cm Ear length (normal beanie length) about 17 (21) 21 (22) cm The red beanie seen in pictures is size S Above the Ear lenght being worn on a model with 57cm head cricumference. Whilst brick beanie is Size S Ear Lenght and black beanie is size M Ear Lenght - on same model. **YARN** 2 balls of Peruvian by Filcolana 50g = 100m (1,76 oz = 110 yd) - estimated for ear lengh. You can use any similar yarn. Just be sure to meet the gauge. Yarns with cotton in its composition are not recommended for they will stretch. **NEEDLES & OTHER** A pair of 5 mm (US 8) needles with 60 cm (24 in) cables, 1 cable needle; an auxiliary circular needle any size smaller than 5mm (US8); waste yarn; 1 stitch marker; a tapestry needle to weave in the ends. **GAUGE** 1sts and 26rounds in 10x10cm. Knitted in 2x2 circular rib, after blocking You might need to change the size of your needles in order to meet the gauge. **TECHNIQUES** Provisional Cast On Folded Hem Modified T8F Cables
