Ally Socks

The Ally Socks are top-down knitted socks featuring a beautiful cable pattern that extends over the entire leg and the top of the foot. The pattern uses a reinforced heel flap and gusset, which can also be replaced with your preferred heel construction. The toe is shaped with decreases into a wedge toe and finished with the Kitchener stitch. Sizing Sizes 1 (2), 3, (4) correspond to a circumference of 18,5cm (21,5cm) 24cm (26,5cm) The foot length can be adjusted individually For example, my calf circumference just above the ankle is 26.5 cm. I could choose between size 3 and size 4. Size 3 is perfect if you want to wear the socks in shoes and prefer a snug fit. If you don’t want them to fit quite as tightly, I recommend size 4. Yarn The sample is worked in Olivia and Oliver Fibers Classic Sock (100g/ 420m) One 100 g skein of fingering-weight sock yarn is sufficient for all sizes. The exact quantity of yarn needed will vary based on your desired leg and foot lengths. Gauge 30 sts x 52 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” on 2.5 mm / US 1.5 needles in Pattern after blocking. Needles • 2.5 mm / US 1.5 double-pointed needles, CraSyTrio or needle size needed to reach gauge.
