In this year-long project, you'll knit just one small round per day, making it a much faster and manageable project than a full-size blanket. By the end of the year, you'll have a colorful, squishy snake that tells the story of the year's temperatures. Grab some yarn in multiple colors of the same weight – worsted is ideal, but feel free to customize. Since the total yardage depends on the weather, every snake will be unique! **Finished size** 11" (28 cm) in circumference by 77" (196 cm) long **Yarn and yardage** Approximately 900 yards (823 m) of worsted weight yarn in any number of colors (aim for about 5 to 20). The yardage used for each color will vary depending on the temperatures in your area.
