Worked sideways in a squishy stitch that mimics knitted brioche, it’s as fun to make as it is to wear. The instructions for each size are color coded and in the order shown here: Baby (Toddler, Child, Teen, Adult M, Adult L). These are the approximate measurements of the finished item: For head circumference of 44.5 (47, 51, 54.5, 58.5, 61) cm / 17 ½ (18 ½, 20, 21 ½, 23 ¼, 24) in. Hat circumference*: 37.5 (40, 44, 47.5, 51.5, 54) cm / 14 ¾ (15 ¾, 17 ¼, 18 ¾, 20 ¼, 21 ¼) in. *To be worn with 6 – 8 cm / 2 ¼ – 3 ¼ in of negative ease Length without folded brim: 14 (16, 18, 20, 22, 24) cm / 5 ½ (6 ¼, 7, 7 ¾, 8 ¾, 9 ½) in. Length with folded brim: 20 (23, 26, 28, 30, 32) cm / 8 (9, 10 ¼, 11, 11 ¾, 12 ½) in. **Materials** YARN + HOOK This pattern has been written to use any yarn weight available combined with the hook of your choice. There is no specific gauge to work with, instead you should strive to create a fabric that is both cosy and light. Following are the suggested yarn/hook combinations for this pattern, however feel free to modify the yarn weight or hook to create the desired fabric.
