Nid Sweater

The Nid Sweater is a sweater version of the Nid Dickey Vest. Its straight armhole design creates a clean, modern silhouette while the changing patterns of the sweater brings a sense of lightness. This warm, soft sweater is knitted using a combination of fingering weight yarn and lace weight mohair yarn. The back yoke is knit first with increases from the shoulders down. The front stitches are picked up separately along the shoulders, then joined after the front neck slope shaping. The back and front are joined at the underarms to be knit in the round to the hem. Stitches are then picked up around the armhole for the sleeve and knit in the round. To finish, stitches are picked up around the neck opening and the collar is worked in rib.
