Snowflake Earrings

YOU WILL NEED • Aunt Lydia’s Fine Crochet Thread, Size 20 (100% mercerized cotton, 400 yards) 1 ball of White • A 1mm (US 12/6) steel hook • 2 (per earring pair) 40mm (1½in) diameter bead-able earring hoops Amazon • 2 (per earring pair) fishhook style earring hoops (per pair) Amazon • 2 (per earring pair) 3mm jump rings (per pair) Amazon • Needle-nose pliers for earring assembly • Blocking surface protected with plastic wrap or waxed paper • Sewing pins • Spray laundry starch, fabric stiffening spray, or white glue and paint brush TENSION 2 rounds = 4cm (1½in) over A or B pattern using a 1mm hook or size needed to obtain tension. Tension is critical for this project to ensure the snowflake design fits inside the earring hoop. MEASUREMENTS Finished snowflake (A and B): 40 mm (1½in) in diameter (blocked)
