The flowers are created with dip stitches with just one color used in every row. The cowl is worked from the top down in the round. The top and the bottom of the cowl flow seamlessly into the garter rib that echoes the rest of the pattern. After one stripe is completed in color 1 (C1), the new color 2 (C2) is joined. Flowers of C2 are made over the C1 background using the dip stitches. Then the rest of the stripe is finished in C2. After that, color 3 is joined, and the process repeats. - The circumference of the cowl can be adjusted by making more or fewer flowers.
