Hakuba Hooded Scarf

A soft and cozy hooded scarf to hug you through chilly days. It features simple zigzag lines and garter texture. I’ve given this pattern a little refresh after letting it rest for a while — now it’s ready to share! I hope you will enjoy it! **SIZE** S (L) Choosing Your Size Select your size based on your head circumference: • 54–56 cm (21¼–22") → Size S recommended • 57–60 cm (22¼–23¾") → Size L recommended You can also choose based on your preferred look: • Choose Size L for a relaxed, roomier fit, even if your head is on the smaller end. • Choose Size S for a closer, more fitted look, even if your head is on the larger end. Suitable for teens through adults. Sample――size L, modeled on a 55 cm {21”} head. **FINISHED SIZE** See schematic on the left. **YARN** Bulky Weight; approx. 360 (400) m {394 (437.5) yd} Please note: Yardage may vary depending on yarn choice and gauge. **NEEDLES** 6.5 mm {US 10.5} circular needle, 40-60 cm {16-24”} length, or DPNs if preferred. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge. **GAUGE** 15 sts/22 rows = 10 cm {4”} in St st, blocked. **NOTIONS** Markers, removable markers, tapestry needle. **NOTE** You may begin with either the hood or the scarf. The hood is worked flat and then seamed. After both pieces are completed, they are joined together.
