Purl baby socks

Cute and simple baby socks that will fit babies from birth to 12 months old. Knit top down, with a heel flap and a gusset. An easy knit and purl stitches pattern runs along the front leg part. The leg is long enough for that extra warmth that babies need during their first months. The pattern is written for working on one pair of long circular needles and magic loop method and using sport weight yarns **Sizes**: 0-3M (3-6M, 6-12M) 0-3M – ~ 8.5 cm/3.4'' from heel to toe; 3-6M – ~10 cm/ 4'' from heel to toe; 6-12M – ~11.5cm/4.5'' from heel to toe. **Materials needed:** • 20-35g Sport weight yarn. Samples shown knitted with Wool Alpaca from Rial Filati. (Sport (12 wpi), 145 yards (133 meters, 50 grams (1.76 ounces). Or any yarn with same/similar yardage. • 3 mm/2.5 US circular needles for knitting magic loop method, at least 80 cm/32'' long • Row counter (optional). • Measuring tape. • Tapestry needle.
