Cecilia Cowl

The Cecilia collection features 5 patterns : a cowl, a scarf, a hat, mittens and socks. It offers mix and match colourwork motifs for custom projects with floral, geometric and figurative designs. The designs were made in collaboration with yarn dyer Bulbe Bizarre, with yarn gifted for the samples. **Yarn :** You will need at least two colours of fingering weight yarn with the following amounts : Total MC : 330 m – 361 yds Total CC : 290 m – 317 yds You can split these requirements to choose multiple colours both for MC and CC, using leftovers or mini skeins for example. The sample was knit with Bulbe Bizarre Sock Extrafine (400 m – 437 yds / 100 g). **Needles :** 3.25 mm (US 3) needles circular needles with appropriate cable length to knit in the round (40 cm – 16" maximum) or magic loop. or size required to get gauge **Gauge :** 28 sts x 30 rounds per 10 cm – 4" in stranded colourwork after blocking Note that a different gauge will affect size and yarn usage. **Size :** 23 cm – 9" wide x 75 cm – 29 ½" circumference (adjustable) A longer cowl can be knitted to twice this circumference to wrap it twice around the neck. **Notions :** 2 different stitch markers, tapestry needle and scissors Scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on and to place sts on hold Crochet hook the same size as your knitting needle for the provisional cast-on A spare needle for grafting Row counter recommended **Techniques used :** Provisional cast-on Grafting Two colours stranded knitting in the round with few floats to catch Pattern includes charted instructions Charts contrast show a light background (MC) and dark patterns (CC) ------------------------------------------------------------------ La collection Cecilia contient 5 patrons : un tour de cou, une écharpe, un bonnet, des mitaines et des chaussettes.
