**UMBRA SOCKS** | KNITTING PATTERN **Sizing:** 1 (2) to fit an approximate foot circumference of 20-21.5 (22-23.5) cm / 8-8.5 (8.75-9.5) inches. **Gauge:** roughly 11 sts x 15 brioche rows in stockinette brioche stitch on 7 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches), measured after blocking when swatch is relaxed. Note: one brioche row is two actual rows of knitting. 20 sts x 25 rows in stockinette stitch on 2.25 mm (US 1) needles = 5 x 5 cm (2 x 2 inches), measured after blocking. **Needles:** 7 mm / 80 cm (32 inches) circular needles (interchangeable needles are strongly recommended); 2.25 mm (US 1) / 80 cm (32 inches) circular needles. **Materials:** recommended 50 g of Arwetta by Filcolana (50 g = 210 m (230 yds)). **Level of difficulty:** 4/5 or intermediate Required skills: Judy’s Magic Cast-On, increasing, brioche knitting, increasing & decreasing in brioche, stretchy bind-off.
