**All sizes except for XL and 3XL have been tested. If you would like to help me test for these two sizes, drop me a message and I'll send you the pattern!** The Monica Top is a romantic, vintage-inspired summer blouse knit in silk. It has neutral ease with waist and hip shaping, along with short rows to for the shoulders and the under-bust detail. Short, textured cap sleeves in star stitch and crocheted edges add even more interest. **Gauge:** 28 st x 40 rows in 10cm/4” in stockinette on 3mm/US 2½ needles flat AND in the round. Use different needle sizes if you have different gauges when knitting flat vs knitting in the round. **Sizes**: (XS, S, M, L) {XL, 2XL, 3XL}. This top is designed to have neutral ease around the bust and waist, and about 5cm/2” of positive ease at the hips. If you find yourself in between sizes, I recommend sizing down. Sizes 1 - 4 (XS - L) correspond to bust measurements: (71-76, 81-86, 91.5-96.5, 101.5-106.5)cm / (28-30, 32-34, 36-38, 40-42)" Sizes 5 - 7 (XL - 3XL) correspond to bust measurements: {111.5-117, 122-127, 132-137}cm / {44-46, 48-50, 52-54}" **Yarn & Materials**: (3, 3, 4, 4) {5, 5, 5} skeins of Knitting For Olive Pure Silk in Brown Bear or (750, 750, 1000, 1000) {1250, 1250, 1250} meters / (819, 819, 1092, 1092) {1365, 1365, 1365} yards in fingering weight yarn. - 3mm/US 21⁄2 circular needles cable 80cm/32” - Any needle smaller than gauge needle - 2.5mm crochet hook - Locking Stitch markers + Stitch markers **Materials for Optional Thread Loops**: - Sewing thread in matching color - 2 sets of Size 0 Snaps in matching color (7mm OR 5/16”) - Sewing needle **Pattern Difficulty** This is a challenging pattern, best suited for adventurous intermediates - advanced level knitters due to the amount of shaping in this pattern (e.g. short-rows while keeping track of waist decreases, short-rows and star stitch simultaneously). **Note on PDFs** Sizes XS-L and XL-3XL will be provided in separate PDFs due to differing upper-body constructions to maintain consistent neckline depths.
