Wheat Feet

Feet with wheat! This pattern is designed to be knitted toe-up with a heel flap and gusset construction and a simple textured pattern on the instep and leg. The pattern has been used to look like wheat or lavender and uses simple right and left twisted stitches to great effect. There are two ways listed to knit each type of twisted stitch, and charts/written instructions are included for each size. This pattern was originally written for Socktober - I was thinking about how to make it even better and thought that some beer-inspired socks would be the perfect project for "Socktoberfest"! October is also a great month to get knitting for holiday socks. This pattern also works beautifully in a lavender purple where you can easily extend the motifs for a more lavender-shaped feature. Written in three sizes (S, M, L) to fit feet 17-19cm, 20.5-23 cm or 23.5-25cm. The foot and leg lengths can be easily adjusted for the perfect fit. Each size also has its own chart and written instructions for the knitter's convenience. This is our first pattern to be test knitted by volunteers, thank you so much to all the test knitters who kindly shared their time, expertise and thoughts to help make this pattern as good as can be.
