Nori Cowl

**Nori Cowl** is worked seamlessly, from the top down, using European shoulder construction. The back piece is worked flat, with increases for the back shoulders. The front shoulders are then picked up along the slanting edges of the back and worked separately while the neckline is shaped. The shoulders are then joined together and the front piece is worked back and forth. 
 The edge stitches at the front and the back are worked along, at the same time.
 Stitches at the neck opening are picked up and the collar is worked in the round in ribbing.

 S/M (L/XL).
 Shoulder width: approx. (34) 38 cm.
 Front length from shoulder: approx. 41 (44) cm.

 **Gauge**
 19 stitches x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm, worked in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles.

 **Yarn**
 Lang Yarns Yak – 70% merino wool, 30% yak (50g = 120m): 150 (150–200) gram.
 or
 Gepard Garn Woolia – 100% merino wool (50g = 133m): 150 (150) gram.
 or
 De Rerum Natura Gilliatt – 100% merino wool (100g = 250m): 150 (150) gram.

 Or approx. 320 (360) meter of other yarn with approx. 200–250m/100g, that knits up to the gauge. 

 (For example: Filcolana Peruvian, The Fibre Co. Cumbria, Rauma 3-tråds Strikkegarn, Hjelholts Håndværksgarn, Cascade 220.) **Suggested needles**
 4.5 mm circular needles (60 cm or longer) for stockinette stitch.
 4 mm circular needles (40 cm) for ribbing.
