Winter Court Cardi

This cardigan is designed with comfort and luxury in mind. We knit up several samples in a few different bases to find the best fit and drape, depending on what you desire. For a more dense fabric with a structured fit, use your favorite worsted weight yarn. If you want something drapey and cozy, pair a DK and either a suri lace or mohair lace for a garment you'll want to fall asleep in! Notions: Stitch markers (10 total; 2 unique for the front border stitch, and 8 for the raglan); scissors; row counter (suggested); darning needle to weave in ends; waste yarn or stitch holders to hold your sleeve stitches; and five 1” buttons. Notes: This raglan-style cardigan is knit flat from the top down, using circular needles. The stitches for the sleeves are put on holders, and the rest of the body is knit first. The shawl collar will be picked up at the end, and buttonholes added between the short-row sections. Body is knit with positive ease, and the sleeves are more fitted. I recommend before starting this knit, you take out an oversized cardigan or sweater that you enjoy the fit of, and measure across the front of it. I would then take a look at the finished garment measurements and determine what size you would like to knit. While working this pattern, you will be working the same chart panel, with variations given for increases and decreases throughout the shoulders and shaping.
