Golden Hours Sweater

**DESCRIPTION** This design catches the last bit of sunshine. Warm and comfortable, it’s perfect for quiet walks or sitting outside as the sun goes down. The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The back is worked first, followed by the shoulders. Once the back and fronts are joined, they are knitted together in the round and finished with a hem, which has two options: worked in garter stitch, or with added 1x1 rib. The sleeves are then worked in the round, and finally, the stitches are picked up along the neckline to make the neckband. The pattern is fully charted. **SIZING/ FINISHED MEASUREMENTS** **Sizes:** 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) (8, 9) **Finished chest circumference:** 106.5 (115, 122, 129.5) (137, 152.5, 160) (167.5, 175) cm/ 42.5 (45.5, 48.75, 51.75) (54.75, 61, 64) (67, 70)". *The sweater is designed to have approx. 20–31.5 cm/ 8–12.5" of positive ease at the chest, but choose your size according to the finished chest measurement that best matches your desired fit.* **Upper arm circumference:** 30.5 (34.5, 38, 38) (42, 49.5, 49.5) (53.5, 57.25) cm/ 12.25 (13.75, 15.25, 15.25) (16.75, 19.75, 19.75) (21.25, 23)". **Cuff circumference:** 25.5 (25.5, 25.5, 25.5) (26.5, 28, 28) (30.5, 33.5) cm/ 10.25 (10.25, 10.25, 10.25) (10.5, 11.25, 11.25) (12.25, 13.5)". **Length from underarm to hem:** 31 cm/ 12.5" for all sizes (adjustable). **Sleeve length from underarm to cuff:** 45 cm/ 18" for all sizes (adjustable). **YARN** 9 (9, 10, 11) (12, 13, 13) (14, 15) skeins of Le Lambswool by Biches & Bûches (100% lambswool, 50 g/ 1.76 oz = approx. 170 m/ 185 yds) in Soft Gold colourway. or 1410 (1540, 1650, 1790) (1910, 2130, 2230) (2360, 2540) m/ 1540 (1680, 1800, 1960) (2090, 2330, 2440) (2580, 2780) yds of DK yarn. *The model is wearing size 2 with a cropped length and a garter stitch hem.* **NEEDLES** 4 mm (US6) circular needles, at least 80 cm/ 32" for the body. 4 mm (US6) DPNs, small circumference or magic loop needles for the sleeves. 3.5 mm (US4) circular needles at least 80 cm/ 32" for the body hem. 3.5 mm (US4) DPNs, small circumference or magic loop needles for sleeve cuffs. 3 mm (US2.5) circular needles 40–60 cm/ 16–24" for the neckband. **GAUGE** 21 sts and 29 rows/ rounds = 10 cm/ 4" in pattern (MAIN chart) on 4 mm (US6) needles, after blocking. 25 sts and 32 rounds = 10 cm/ 4" in 1x1 rib (k1, p1) on 3.5 mm (US4) needles, after blocking, without stretching. **NOTIONS** Cable needle, stitch markers, stitch holders, a tapestry needle, scissors. **TECHNIQUES** Basic knit BO, backward loop CO, cable knitting, knitting flat, knitting in the rnd, long-tail CO, picking up stitches, reading charts, Tubular BO.
