Perth Socks

Perth is the beautiful capital of Western Australia, Australia’s largest state. I have visited Perth a few times. One of my fondest memories is strolling through Kings Park and coming across the spectacular floral clock. A delightful additional to your sock drawer, the circular and winding stitches of these socks remind me of the abundant botanical gardens of Kings Park. Designed to work with highly speckled and variegated yarn, as well as tonal colours, the pattern features pops of colour, easy twisted stitches and a striking patterned heel. The pattern is written for fingering weight (4ply) yarn, and includes some beautiful, twisted cable stitches that you can easily achieve without a cable needle. You can also choose to add either the French or Dutch Heel Flap depending on your preferences. Grab your favourite sock yarn, embrace the bright colours and start knitting!
