It’s worked back and forth in stockinette stitch from the top down.You always hold both yarns together! First you make the horizontal back yoke, from which you pick up stitches to make the back. On the opposite side of the yoke, you then pick up stitches to make the shoulders toward the front. After this, the fronts are joined with the back by casting on stitches for the bottom of the armholes. The body is then worked back and forth in stockinette stitch, before the hem is shaped with decreases and finished off with an i-cord edge. Then you pick up stitches for the sleeves, which are worked in the round and slightly shaped with decreases, before they’re finished off with a double knitted detail to resemble a cuff. Finally, you finish off the shirt with button bands and a double knitted collar.
