Despite being worked in fingering weight yarn, this hat is surprisingly squishy and warm. The project is worked entirely with a marl, 2 yarns held together. You will simultaneously create a garter stitch layer and a layer of interwoven cables. The motif magically emerges as you repeat the small cable pattern. The colourwork design is established in the setup rounds and is worked without bobbins or floats. If you are making both the Hat & Cowl, knit the Cowl first.
