The London Hat

A cozy, playful, slouchy hat worked from top to bottom. The versatility offers casual style. Size can be adjusted by adding or decreasing the number of rounds in the crown/body.to any outfit, anytime of the year. The hat can be worn with the brim rolled up or down, you can’t go wrong either way. Be creative with your yarn choices to add your own personality to the design. MATERIALS: Yarn: Worsted weight (medium/weight 4), approximately 220 - 250 yards (1 skein recommended). Used in this pattern, Red Heart Super Saver in Coffee. Hooks: US H/8 (5mm) and G/7 (4.5 mm). *Used by myself, as always, adjust to your sizing needs. Notions:Tapestry needle, measuring tape, scissors and stitch markers. Pattern Notes - The hat is worked in rounds, from crown to brim. -Chain 2 at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch. - Always join with whatever chain size that matches the type of stitch you will be working in a particular round, i.e. single crochet round = chain 1, double or half double crochet round = chain 2. - Stitch counts for each round are shown in parentheses. - Please check out YouTube for tutorials on any stitches you may be unfamiliar with. - For a smaller hat, size down on the hook sizes, for instance you can start with a G/7 4.5 mm hook and use a G 4 mm hook for the brim area for a snugger fit. - For a larger hat, size up on the hook sizes, for instance you can start with an “I” 5.5 mm hook and use a H/8 5 mm hook for the brim area.
