Turn up the volume on your knitting with Boombox Sox—a pattern that hums with retro rhythm and cosy charm. Textured stripes groove along the foot, slouchy legs sway with effortless style, and the heel flap bursts into colour with a bold boombox motif—your own stitched anthem to the mixtape days.
Every pair tells a story of nostalgia and joy, where yarn meets beat and comfort meets creativity. Boombox Sox isn’t just a pattern—it’s a love song for your feet, played in wool and warmth.
Slip them on, feel the rhythm, and let your stitches dance to their own tune.
Worked in the round, this pattern provides both cuff-down and toe-up instructions for a seamless sock, accompanied by charts for each pattern motif. While the pattern comes with instructions for a heel flap and gusset, it’s adaptable to your personal preferences and unique feet (omitting the colourwork). Links for alternative heels have been included!
With multiple sizes, you can easily achieve the perfect fit with the intended negative ease. I’ve written this sock pattern with magic loop in mind. However, you can also work on double-pointed needles instead if you’d prefer (just use extra markers to denote the instep and sole stitches).
To further assist you, a link is provided that contains additional resources, such as yarn substitutes and a technique playlist. These tools give you everything you need to create your masterpiece confidently.
