**Simple stitches, striking lines…**
Born from the long, spaced-out queues of lockdown days, the Lining Up Wrap transforms a memory of distance into something warm, comforting, and deeply wearable.
Worked in 4ply/fingering weight yarn with just 90g of each of two contrasting colours, this wrap is rhythmic and relaxing to knit — the very definition of Netflix knitting.
Only one colour is ever used at a time, creating bold, graphic lines with minimal fuss.
Light, drapey, and versatile, the Lining Up Wrap is perfect for stash-busting those special skeins or pairing favourite contrasts. Notes are included for a DK version too.
Whether you wear it as a wrap or a generously sized scarf, it’s destined to become a year-round favourite.
***Skills Used ...***
> * Long tail cast on.
> * Knit and purl stitches.
> * Decreasing (K2TOG, K3TOG, P2TOG, SSK).
> * Slip stitches
> * Increasing (M1R)
***You will need the following ...***
> * 4 ply / Fingering : Approx. 90g each of two contrasting colours
> • 4mm* (6) needles, 80cm cable (you are not knitting in the round but your wrap will be too long to work comfortably on a straight needle).
> * 8 stitch markers.
> * Tapestry needle (the sewing those dreaded ends in).
>
> *(Or size required to obtain gauge)
***Gauge and Size ...***
>
>I’m going to upset the purist and say that a gauge swatch is not essential. This is a wrap not a fitted garment.
>
>However, if you’re so inclined - Using 4mm (US 6) needles : 27 stitches and 36 rows (4 inch / 10 cm Garter Stitch worked flat).
>
>Aggressive blocking is not essential for this wrap but you should end up with a finished garment size of approximately 30cm wide and 160cm long.

> next. Your support of my little dream
> is so appreciated. Every ‘like’ helps
> and it’s a known fact I do a tiny
> happy dance each time I get a
> notification. I am a terrible dancer!
