The piece begins with wide, smooth stockinette shoulder seams that extend all the way from the shoulders to the sleeve cuffs. The top is worked from the top down, starting with the shoulder seams, followed by shaping the neckline with short rows for a perfect fit. Stitches are then picked up along one shoulder seam to shape the front before joining the body, which is worked in the round down to the hem.
