‘Radha Rakhi’ is my crochet rakhi aka bracelet design inspired by the Indian “Goddess Radha”. She is the consort of God Krishna, the eighth avatar of God Vishnu in Hinduism. "Raksha Bandhan" is the Indian festival which is approaching soon. It is festival where a sister ties a silk thread on her brothers wrist to symbolically protect him. Sometimes, people tie rakhis to their sisters, sister-in-laws and other women in their family as well. So I designed rakhis for Radha and Krishna. This rakhi is for Radha. I will be posting Krishna rakhi later for testing. This rakhi represents a part of the beautiful Indian culture to which I belong. The sides looks like conch shells and the center looks like a wheel or a Sudarshan Chakra laden with rays of beads. This rakhi is an easy make and only takes a little time to make. Super easy and fast project, a perfect stash buster! I've explained the beading instructions used for the earrings on my Youtube channel. The same instructions can be used for this bracelet too.: [https://youtu.be/C1MN9JGHdoQ][1] **Skill Level**: Easy Basic sewing skills Basic jewelry making skills **Notions**: Stitch Marker(S) Matching thread Scissors Beading Needle 3mm round plastic faux pearl beads(30) - White 8mm round plastic bead - Copper 2mm round plastic beads(6) – Gold **Suggested Yarns**: You will need approximately 9-10 yards of Fingering weight thread for making the rakhi. **I Used**: Designs By Mamta Glitter(98% Viscose, 2% Metallic Thread; 5 yards[5m]]; CYCA #1): #Soil, 2 skeins. **Gauge**: 24 sc x 24 sc rows on a 2.75mm crochet hook = 4” (10.16 cm) **©Radha Rakhi by Mamta Motiyani 2025.
