The cardigan is knitted top down. You will start by casting on stitches for the back of the neck and shaping shoulders with increases. After that the back and front panels are worked flat down to underarms, and then joined to work the body. Sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round. As the cardigan is knitted top-down, you can also decide on the length as you go. The pattern and the yardage have been given for an average height of 165 cm / 5‘5’’ and a slightly cropped fit. SIZING: The measurements listed below are for the final cardigan after washing and blocking and with the button band closed. This pattern comes in 9 sizes (1, 2, 3) (4, 5, 6) (7, 8, 9) with finished bust circumference measuring (85, 95, 105) (115, 125, 135) (145, 155, 165) cm / (34, 38, 42) (46, 50, 54) (58, 62, 66) inches and is meant to be worn with a positive ease of 15-30 cm / 6-12 inches at the bust.
