King Salmon Light is a fingering weight version of my King Salmon sweater. Knit from the top down, this sweater features a bold salmon design on the yoke, a relaxed, comfortable, unisex fit and is easily adjustable in the sleeve and body length to create a perfect fit. This version has a more traditional shape than the original design, the yoke is a standard depth as opposed to the exaggerated yoke depth of the original, worsted weight version. You can find the original [King Salmon][1] sweater here! The sample shown here is a size 4, with 14" of positive ease on a 34" bust for an oversized fit. I recommend choosing a size with 3-14" of positive ease depending on your style preferences. I used Brooklyn Tweed Loft for mine, which has been discontinued. Any fingering weight wool or wool blend that you can get gauge with and like the fabric of will work beautifully for this design! Please see the testers' versions in the projects for alternative yarn ideas. **MATERIALS Needles:** Note - needle sizes are suggested only. You may need to use a different size to achieve gauge. You may also need different needle sizes to maintain the same gauge between colorwork and plain stockinette sections. Main: US 2 / 2.75 mm Ribbing US 1.5 / 2.5 mm **Notions:** tapestry needle, row counter (optional), stitch markers (one for BOR, more if you wish to seperate your pattern repeats for the colorwork), waste yarn or stitch holders for putting the sleeves on hold. **Yarn:** Brooklyn Tweed Loft 100% American Targhee-Columbia Wool 275 yds / 251 m / 50g fingering weight Colors used in sample: MC: Meteorite CC: Woodsmoke **Yardage:** Note - yardage is estimated and may vary depending on yarn used, gauge variations and modification.
