Peonia Dress

This is a sister pattern to the Peonia Dress Mod. You can get both pattern for a discounted bundle price by adding both patterns into the cart and use the discount code "**Bundle**". The Peonia Dress is worked seamlessly from the top down. You begin by casting on the two front cups using a provisional cast-on, shaping them with increases before joining them together. Next, the back “cups” are worked separately and then joined with the front to begin working in the round. From there, you’ll calculate **waist shaping** based on your own measurements. Optional **German short rows** can be added to lower the back of the skirt, especially helpful if you often find skirts riding up in the back. After the waist, you’ll calculate hip shaping (also based on your measurements) before moving on to the skirt. By varying the skirt structure and increases you can really customize the flare however you prefer! If you prefer a more relaxed fit around the belly or hips, you can skip the hip increases entirely and jump straight into the skirt shaping. The pattern offers two suggested lengths, but you’re free to try it on as you go and bind off at your preferred length. To support you throughout the process, this pattern includes **spreadsheets** and **tutorials**, making it easy to adapt the design to your body and preferences. **Note**: Sizes 11, 12, 13, 15 have not been properly tested because I didn’t find any testers, so if you fit into one of those sizes and you want to knit the pattern, reach out to me so I can give you the pattern for free in exchange for feedbacks. **Size guide** The pattern is designed to have approximately 16 cm [ 6 ¼ inches] of negative ease, meaning it is designed to be 16 cm [ 6 ¼ inches] smaller than your bust circumference. The sizes (1, 2, 3), (4, 5, 6), (7, 8, 9), (10, 11, 12), (13, 14, 15) 16 are designed to fit a bust circumference of (75, 80, 85), ( 90, 95, 100),(105, 110, 115), (120, 125, 130), (140, 145, 152) cm [(29 ½, 31 ½, 33 ½), ( 35 ½, 37 ½, 39 ½), (41 ¼, 43 ¼, 45 ¼), (47 ¼, 49 ¼, 51 ¼), (53 ¼, 55, 57) 60 inches]. The rest of the pattern is made-to-measure.
