this pattern doesn't explain the basics of tapestry crochet! there are multiple free patterns and youtube videos that do, if you have no experience. the graphs differ slightly from the picture, adjusted to be the same size as my batman pillow pattern (see tester gallery for result examples) :) the charts are half-charts, and column 27 is the center. this means that you go from right to left the whole row, then from left to right skipping column 27.
