Chattahoochee Hat

This is the hat version of my [Chattahoochee](/patterns/library/chattahoochee) sock pattern, featuring a staircase design that results from knitting a chevron pattern on the bias. It is very similar to the leg portion of the sock, but with some short-row crown shaping. I strongly recommend using a self-striping or self-patterning yarn, although some variegated and gradient yarns might work well too. There are 3 sizes, S (M, L), which have a length of 7.5 (8.5, 9.25) inches or 19 (21.5, 23.5) cm. The circumference is adjustable as you go.
