Three cross-stitch variations are included, all subtly adjusted to suit fingering-weight sock construction. The heel is worked using simple German Short Rows, combined with a mini gusset on the sole to create a deeper heel cup. Directions are written for the magic loop method with circular needles. Video tutorials are included. What is mini-malu?: The name mini-malu is a playful blend of the word minimal and the Japanese word maru (meaning “circle” or “round”). It hints at “a small circle,” reflecting the simple, rounded design.
