Mallard Ducks

Written pattern for miniature male and female mallard ducks. ***Advanced level.*** Materials needed: • 2.25 mm hook (or hook size to match your yarn) • Yarn needle • Stuffing • Pins and blocking mat/piece of cardboard • Black embroidery thread • 1mm craft wire (2 inches per duck) • Fabric glue (I use Hi-Tack) Glue and wire are to make the beak. These are recommended but optional. An alternative crocheted beak pattern is also provided. Recommended yarn: • Scheepjes Catona • Yarn and Colors Must Have This pattern assumes you know how to do the following stitches: • Single crochet • Half double crochet • Double crochet • Half triple crochet • Triple crochet • Increase • Decrease • Slip stitch • Working in back loops only • Changing colours All other stitches used are explained in the pattern.
