This is a two colour stranded project knit in the round with the pattern worked all the way to the top. This pattern assumes your knowledge of this technique. The stranded work is charted only but both written directions and chart will show which colours to use *during the decreases*. **Gauge** 21 stitches and 24 rounds measured over 10 cm on colourwork **Yarn requirements** based on the project shown. Colour one: Debbie Bliss cashmerino aran in colour 300502 green Colour two: Debbie Biss cashmerino aran in colour 300041 grey You will require around 70-80 metres of each colour. **Needles and notions** 40cm (16”) 4.0mm circular needle 40cm (16”) 4.5mm circular needle 4.5mm double pointed needles for working crown One stitch marker Measuring tape Tapestry needle **Skills** SSK, K2tog, KTBL, stranded colourwork This is my second “Spendigo” beanie named for the colloquialism given to the Australian Sheep and Wool Show held in Bendigo, Victoria each July. This time I have opted for a *slightly* heavier weight beanie to suit the frosty morning temperatures hovering around 3°C. Although the yarn used is classed as aran weight, I feel that it is closer to worsted. Ideas are given for changing size and yarn weight based on test projects. Want a slouchy?
