Nuptiae Cape

Digital DPF knittingpattern for the Fabel Knitwear Nuptiae Cape. I designed the Nuptiae Cape for my own wedding. I wanted something simple, gossamer and elegant, but practical as well – lightweight so you can easily take it on and off (and stuff it in a bag if not needed!), but warm enough to keep the chill at bay. It is worked top down in a single strand of Mohair Silk. It has blousing bishop sleeves over a fitted cuff, and a long, flowing cape with a lace panel at the hem. It is designed to be worn open, but can be closed by adding a button, hooks or a ribbon at the front. The cape is designed with an open bust, and is thus not meant to close ove but rather drape down the sides. The only reason it is not available in larger sizes is I couldn’t get testknitters for those sizes, and I don’t want anyone to pay for a pattern and knit a size thats not been tested.
