Camp Out Socks: Third pattern in my Summer 2025 Mystery Pattern Club: Socks Gone Camping As the crisp evening air settles in over your campsite, you are cozy by the fire! I wanted to create thermal socks to keep your feet toasty in the cool evening air. Timeless and simple this pattern uses knit, purl and twisted stitches to create a squishy, waffle texture. This pattern will shine when using yarn that is solid, tonal, lightly speckled or has low contrast variegation! As always, use whichever sock yarn you are excited to use, while being aware that the detail of the pattern may be lost in very busy yarns. This pattern is Cuff Down construction, includes 4 sizes and a heel flap and gusset heel construction. Yarn for this Club was dyed by Meaghan of Bramble Ridge, be sure to check out her shop for lots of beautiful yarn! **Skills Required** German twisted Cast On, working in the round, knit, purl, slipping stitches, decreasing, twisted stitches, reading charts (optional), kitchener stitch. **Materials** **Sample Yarn Used**: 1 x 100 g/393 yds (360 m), Bramble Ridge Hand Dyed Yarns, 85/15 Superwash Merino/Nylon Fingering weight, colourway Camp Out. **Yardage**: 300 (350, 410, 460) yds/274 (320, 375, 421) m fingering weight yarn. Yardage is an estimate and is impacted by yarn used, knitter’s gauge, length of sock foot and/or leg knitted. **Suggested Needles**: 2.5 mm/US 1.5, 80 cm/32” length for magic loop, OR 2 x 40 cm/16” length for the two-circular method, OR 2.5 mm/US 1.5 double pointed needles OR size needed to obtain gauge. Darning needle, cable needle. **Gauge**: 34 sts/48 rnds = 10 cm/4”, in the rnd, in st st. **Sizes:** US Shoe Size: Ladies 4-6.5, (Ladies 7-9.5/Mens 6-8.5, Ladies 10-12.5/Mens 9-11.5, ladies 12.5+/Mens 11.5-13) Size: 1, 2, 3, 4 Ball of Your foot measurement: 7 - 8” (8-9.5”, 9-10”, 10-11”) This pattern has been tech editted by [lisamazz](/people/lisamazz) thank you Lisa!
