Canyon Socks - First pattern in my Summer 2025 Mystery Pattern Club: Socks Gone Camping! Inspiration for the first pattern was the absolutely majestic Fraser Canyon in Southern British Columbia. If you've driven through, you know. If you haven't, it is one of the most beautiful drives through BC. Sunlight peeking through the forest canopy on a hike through the woods, the river flowing in the canyon below! Knit/purl, Inc/Dec, and yarn over texture; this pattern is excellent for even your wildest variegated skein. This pattern is the perfect intro to lace! Very easy to memorize and paired with the 2 x 2 rib, makes for a squishy, comfy sock! This pattern is Cuff Down construction, includes 4 sizes and a heel flap and gusset heel construction. Yarn for this Club was dyed by Meaghan of Bramble Ridge, be sure to check out her shop for lots of beautiful yarn! **Skills Required** German Twisted Cast On, working in the round, knit, purl, slipping stitches, yarn overs, decreasing, increasing, German short rows, reading charts (optional), kitchener stitch. **Materials** **Sample Yarn Used**: 1 x 100 g/393 yds (360 m), Bramble Ridge Hand Dyed Yarns, 85/15 Superwash Merino/Nylon Fingering weight, colourway Canyon. **Yardage**: 300 (350, 410, 460) yds/274 (320, 375, 421) m fingering weight yarn. Yardage is an estimate and is impacted by yarn used, knitter’s gauge, length of sock foot and/or leg knitted. **Suggested Needles**: 2.5 mm/US 1.5, 80 cm/32” length for magic loop, OR 2 x 40 cm/16” length for the two-circular method, OR 2.5 mm/US 1.5 double pointed needles OR size needed to obtain gauge.
