The airy stitch pattern makes them perfect for summer socks when paired with wool yarns blended with linen or silk. The garter short-row heel is easy to make. With a mini gusset on the sole, it creates a roomier fit than a regular short-row heel and is also recommended for those with a high instep. The cuff is worked in either Twisted Ribbing or 2×1 Ribbing, as preferred. Directions are written for the magic loop method with circular needles.
