Howl's Moving Castle Inspired Booksleeve

Before you start crocheting... This pattern was inspired by the design of Howl’s jacket in the Studio Ghibli movie Howl’s Moving Castle. The yarn I used to make my book sleeve was **Bamboo Cotton Blend Yarn, 6 ply Lace with a thickness of 1mm, in the colors pink, baby blue, mustard, and off-white**. The gauge is 20 stitches x 20 rows = 8.3 x 14 cm. I used a **3.0 mm hook**. However, ***you may use any yarn and its corresponding hook size to make your book sleeve***. Expect that the size will change depending on the size of your materials. Other materials that you may need include: scissors, darning needle (optional), and stitch marker (optional). This pattern is **low-sew or no-sew.** Instructions for either option are indicated. This entire pattern is **crocheted as one piece**. It would help to know how to do tapestry crochet for the diamond pattern.
