Two colours and easy knitting - but add in some fresh stripes for extra spice. *Fern Socks* are all about changing stripes and intarsia, making the knitting experience of this pair fun and interesting. *Fern Socks* are worked from the cuff down with a heel flap. the fun striping is paired with easy stockinette stitch to make the socks have some stretch and fit well. **MATERIALS** ***Yarn:*** 2 (2, 2) skeins of Säie Merino Sock by Säie Wool; one skein of MC, colourway Queen of Cedars (green) and one skein of CC, special colourway Crispy Ginger Cream (speckled). Approx. 360 (390, 425) yds / 330 (360, 390) m of fingering weight yarn; 300 (310, 325) yds / 275 (285, 300) m of MC and 60 (80, 100) yds / 55 (75, 90) m of CC. ***Needles:*** US 1½ (2.5 mm) and US 0 (2 mm) dpns or circular needles, if you are using magic loop technique for small circumference knitting. **SIZING** 1 (2, 3) Finished Circumference of the Foot and of the Leg of the Sock: 7 (8, 9)” / 18 (20, 22) cm. Choose a size with 0-1” (0-2.5 cm) of negative ease. **GAUGE** 34 sts and 42 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch, using larger needles, after blocking.
