The gauge is not fundamental for this project. I’ve used DK weight yarn and a 4 mm(G-6) crochet hook but you can use any yarn weight and any crochet hook. Measures and yarn amount will vary accordingly. Add or subtract stitches to the starting chain to make a longer/shorter ribbon.
