It begins with the hem being worked sideways from which the body stitches are picked up along the hem row edge. The body is worked back and forth in joined and turned rounds to create a tube. The body is then split and the front and back are worked separately with shaping for the neck, button band and armholes. The shoulders are joined at the end by crocheting a stitch from each side together. A ridge from post stitches and a rib from single crochet worked in the back loop form the edgings for the garment.
