This top is inspired by summer evenings in the countryside. The design is light and simple, with a touch of romance. You can modify the top to your liking: for example, attach buttons or an invisible clasp to the front or leave the fronts open to create a vest. MATERIALS  **Yarn:** Off-white sample. 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) (4, 5, 5, 5) cones of Algodón Peinado L by Casasol Filicor (100% organic cotton, 427 yds / 390 m – 200 g), colourway Crudo. Brown sample: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5) (5, 6, 6, 6) balls of Lino Flamé 3 Cabos by Casasol Filicor, (30% linen 70% viscose,  328 yds / 300 m – 200 g),  colourway Arena. Or approx 975  (1030, 1115, 1180, 1355) (1420, 1555, 1665, 1775) yds / 890 (940, 1020, 1080, 1240) (1300, 1420, 1520, 1620) m of light-DK-weight yarn. Alternative yarn options are for example Muskat by Drops, Line by Sandnes Garn and Pure Silk by Knitting for Olive (double stranded). **Hook:** US E-4 / 3.5 mm.   **Notions:** Optional: Snap fasteners, decorative buttons. GAUGE  18 sts x 10 rows to 4" / 10 cm on US E-4 / 3.5 mm hook in Main Patt, after blocking.  NOTES The top is worked flat in three pieces: a back and two front panels. After the pieces have been sewn together, the edges for the armholes and hem will be worked.
