It’s worked top down in instarsia. First you cast on sts for the back and shape the shoulders with increases along both sides. Then you work the back down to the armholes, before you pick up and knit sts along the front of the shoulders to work the front. The front shoulders are worked separately before you shape and cast on sts for the neckline. You begin to work the dinosaur in intarsia a few cm below the neckline. The front is then joined with the back by casting on sts for the armholes. The body is joined to be worked in the round, but since the dinosaur is worked in intarsia you use german short row turns to turn your work along one side to be able to work the body back and forth. The body is finished with a ribbed edge. You then pick up and knit sts along the back of the dinosaur to knit its spikes using. Tröjan stickas uppifrån och ner i intarsia. Först lägger du upp maskor för bakstycket och formar axlarna med ökningar längs båda sidor. Sedan stickas bakstycket ner till ärmhålen, innan du plockar upp maskor längs axlarnas framkant för att arbeta vidare med framstycket. Framstyckets axlar stickas separat innan du formar och lägger upp maskor för halsringningen och stickar framstycket ner till ärmhålen. Därefter sammanfogas fram- och bakstycke genom att du lägger upp maskor för ärmhålen, samtidigt som du börjar sticka dinosauriemotivet i intarsia. Bålen stickas så att arbetet formas som en rund cylinder, men eftersom dinosaurien stickas i intarsia används German short rows (förkortade varv) längs ena sidan för att vända arbetet och sticka bålen fram och tillbaka. Bålen avslutas med en ribbstickad mudd. Sedan plockar du upp och stickar maskor längs dinosauriens rygg för att sticka dess taggar. Därefter stickas halsringningen och ärmarna innan dinosaurien får de sista detaljer genom att du broderar ett sött ansikte och vassa tänder.
