Stitches are picked up along the side of the gusset and then the piece is worked down until it is joined and worked down in the round from under the chin. It is finished with a simple garter edge. Nearly every inch of the 2 skeins (280 yards/256 meters) of yarn was used to knit the sample shown. If you prefer to continue working your snood with a longer cowl, plan to purchase additional yardage. The all over eyelet pattern is written, there is a chart on the last page of this PDF. GAUGE 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4”/10 cm in pattern after blocking 22 stitches and 32 rows = 5 ½”/14 cm in pattern before blocking.
