Knitting Pattern in English for an Oversize-Cardigan with a straight and boxy fit, drop shoulders, a double knitted button band and big statement stripes all over body and sleeves in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL. **Structure:** The cardigan is worked in stockinette stitch top down in one piece. First, the back part is shaped with increases along the shoulder lines. As soon as the desired length and width are reached, the stitches for the back part are put to rest and stitches for each front part are picked up along the shoulder section of the back part. The two front parts are then worked separately with increases along the V Neck. To create the most comfortable fit, the front parts are worked for a few more rows than the back part has been worked before. Then, all parts are joined by casting on new stitches under each armpit. The body is now finished in stockinette stitch in one piece and finished off with a hem in 2x2 ribbing. Afterwards, stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round in statement stripes. If preferred, there is an option to work tapered sleeves with a bunch of decreases. Then, the sleeves are finished with cuffs in 2x2 ribbing as well. Last, but not least, stitches along the neckline and the two front parts are picked up to work the double knitted button band. Finally, the buttons are sewn to the button band. The fit of the cardigan is very comfortable due to the large positive ease. In contrast to the wide body, the sleeves are relatively close to the actual sleeve circumference, which can be emphasized by the tapered sleeve shape.
