Wrapped Up In Diamonds Sweater

Create your own stylish crochet cable sweater with this easy to follow pattern. The sweater is worked from the bottom up to the armhole create a seamless jumper that features a diamond cable pattern. Sleeves are worked separately, from the cuff to the armhole, then joined to the Body. Finally, the shoulders and remainder of the sweater are worked in one piece to complete the project. The pattern is written for sizes XS through to 5XL and is intended to be worn with 5-8” of positive ease at the chest. **Finished Chest Size:** XS: 35.25" S: 39.25" M: 43.5" L: 47.5" XL: 51.5" 2XL: 55.75" 3XL: 59.75" 4XL: 63.75 5XL: 67.75" **Materials Needed** It is recommended to use a a chunky/size 5 yarn - designer used both James C Brett Marble Chunky and Knitcraft Everyday Chunky with a 5mm hook to meet gauge. This cable design looks great worked up in a solid colour, but was not "lost" when using a variegated, or self-striping yarn. **Estimated Yarn Required** XS: 1150yds S: 1200yds M: 1350yds L: 1560yds XL: 1750yds 2XL: 1900yds 3XL: 2100yds 4XL: 2250yds 5XL: 2475yds Designer also created a cropped version (with just 8" length in body before the yoke) in size large that used only 1050m in Knitcraft Everyday Chunky. **Skill Level** Intermediate - This pattern uses front post and back post stitches along with decreasing post stitches for shaping in the yoke. Alongside the written version of the pattern, you will find a cable stitch chart and a stitch count chart for the decreases in the yoke. There is also a photo and video tutorial showing the assembly of the body and sleeves ready to work the yoke of the sweater.
