Snek

Snek! I have been making Sneks since 2017-2018, so this pattern’s been a long time coming. The title is a little grandfathered in—it may sound dated, and definitely doesn’t have the gravitas of Year of the Wood Snake, but I cannot give it up. This is very much a *snek*. Just a little guy. **Materials:** * 150yds/50g heavy sock or light sportweight yarn such as Patons Kroy Socks. * 1 set of DPNs in US2-3/2.75-3.25mm, or size needed for gauge * 2 removable stitch markers * 2 6mm safety eyes (eye pieces and backers) * Tapestry needle * Polyfill or wool for stuffing (small amount) **Gauge:** Gauge is 7 sts and 11 rows over 1" of stockinette, unblocked and worked in the round. Please be sure to check your gauge. Gauge is incredibly important when you’re knitting a snake **Measurements:** This snake as shown measures about 24.5"/62cm long and is about .75"/2cm wide. **Additional Notes:** * Yarn yardage estimates are currently generous, because I forgot to weigh my yarn and I’m pretty sure it’s a partial skein. You can make one snek from one ball of Paton Kroy Socks, but I am pretty sure it doesn’t take the whole ball.
