Bobble Head Snake

To celebrate the Chinese (Lunar) New Year 2025, which marks the Year of the Snake (29th January 2025 – 16th February 2026), I have designed this bobble head snake. The pattern is written in US terminology, and is worked in continuous rounds, unless otherwise stated. Approximate size of the Bobble Head Snake, using the listed materials below, is 10cm (4 inches) tall by 13cm (5 inches) wide. Tools & Materials • 4mm Hook • Scissors • Embroidery Needle • Stitch Marker • 3mm Safety Eyes x2 • Green Yarn - Head & Body/Weight Holder/Tail • Light Yellow Yarn - Underside • Brown Yarn - Base Part 1/Post • Dark Yellow Yarn - Base Part 2 • Black Thread + 2mm Hook - Tongue • Gold Embroidery Thread - Embellishment • Wire and cutter- Head & Body/Post/Tail • Scrap Yarn - Suspension of Head & Body to Post • Coins - Weight Holder You may use alternative yarn and colours but be sure to use the appropriate hook size.
