Field Beanie

The Field Beanie Crochet Pattern features a unique cluster stitch texture that makes for a cozy crochet hat! A few weeks ago I posted a tutorial for the Field Stitch. The stitch is worked using primarily single crochet stitches and spiked cluster stitches. The spiked cluster stitches create an arrow or almost braided like design that run vertically along the fabric. Becuase of the spike stitches and the tighter single crochet stitches in the pattern I wanted to try it in a crochet hat. It think it turned out quite pretty! Finished Size: 8 x 10 inches laid flat; 20-22 inch circumference Yarn: 1 ball Heartland by Lion Brand Yarn (100% acrylic; 5 oz/142g; 251 yds/230 m); Medium/Worsted (#4) weight Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
