Winter Waves Hat

I designed the **Winter Waves Hat** to help get you through the coldest season of all as colorfully and cozily as possible! This pattern is packed with simple “waves” of colorwork and a little bit of texture so it’s easy enough for anyone who loves to knit but has never tried colorwork before. It’s also perfect for colorwork pros who are looking for a super-satisfying, quick knit. This hat works up fast with bulky yarn and features short floats that won’t slow you down. Another awesome factor—although three colors are used to create this design, you only ever work with two colors at a time. Easy. Approachable. Just what you were looking for this winter! **Materials Needed**: **Yarn** Approximately 100 yds (92 m) total of bulky yarn in three contrasting colors. If your gauge is different than what is called for in the pattern, yardage will vary. Substitute yarn yardage also may vary. **Color A**: 35 yds (32 m) **Color B**: 40 yds (37 m) **Color C**: 25 yds (23 m) **Suggested Needles** US 9 (5.5 mm) or size needed to meet brim gauge; 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles. US 10.5 (6.5 mm) or size needed to meet body gauge; 16” (40 cm) circular knitting needles and preferred needles for small circumference knitting. **Notions** Scissors Stitch marker Tapestry needle Feel free to sell small quantities of finished hats that are made using this pattern, but please give credit to **flynnknit** for the design.
